Now that Elizabeth and Chris are married, I can finally share the images from Elizabeth’s bridal portrait session.
Bridal portraits are a Southern tradition, and I love when brides opt for a bridal session. It gives the bride a chance to make sure her hair and makeup are exactly how she wants them to be on her wedding day. And who doesn’t want another chance to wear their wedding dress, right?! Many times, my brides will end up tweaking one or two small things to make sure everything is perfect on their wedding day. This could be anything from her hair to her bouquet. You spend so much time preparing for this day, so why not use your bridal session as a dress rehearsal to make sure everything is exactly how you envisioned it would be?

Elizabeth and Chris were married at The Cedars Event Venue in Demopolis, Alabama on Saturday. Elizabeth wanted a different location for her bridal session and decided that Bluff Hall in Demopolis would be the perfect location—and it was! We started out with portraits on the porch of the home. The grand columns provided the perfect backdrop for those classic portraits.
We then moved around to the side of the home. These are some of my favorites from the day. I love the scalloped detail on the awning and the manicured boxwoods lined the side of the home.
Once we finished up there, we made our way to the lawn beside the river for a few “Golden Hour” portraits. This is the time of day when the light is softer and give that golden glow. It is one of my favorite times of day to shoot.
Elizabeth was the most beautiful bride. She is so laid back and photogenic, so it made my job super easy. Enjoy looking at her bridal portraits and stay tuned for photos from her wedding day!
