Surprise Proposal | Alabama Engagement Photographer

When I got the call from Garrett’s mom about his surprise proposal, I was so excited!  I have never witnessed a proposal, and I feel honored that they trusted me to capture such a special moment. 

I met Garrett’s mom at the location for a walkthrough about a week before the proposal.  She said that Garret wanted both of their families to be there to see the proposal.  We decided that we would start with a family session so that Erica would not be suspicious.  Little did she know that Garrett had asked her family to come as well. They were inside waiting for the special moment. Erica had no clue that they were even there. 

The location is so beautiful. He wanted to propose beside the water so we eventually made our way over to “the spot.”  Once we were there, I told Garrett and Erica that I wanted to take some photos of just the two of them to add to my portfolio.  Garrett’s family continued walking to the house to bring Erica’s family outside.  Garrett dropped to one knee once every was outside to watch.  Erica’s reaction was priceless!  It was such a special moment, and you can absolutely see their love for each other.

Garrett, you did an amazing job pulling this together. I am so excited for you two and wish you both all the happiness as you start your journey together.  Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of such a special moment in your lives.
